Enjoy our selection of Dobro guitars...
The Dobro is also refered to as the National or Resonator. Whatever you call them, they sound great for acoustic blues and country.

If you play slide - You MUST have a dobro - they sound fantastic with slide and when you hear the sound you will think "So THAT is how he got that sound!".

This overview of the best value Dobros on the market today will illustrate that buying a Dobro does not have to be an expensive affair. Like with any instrument, if you choose wisely you will get an excellent guitar at an affordable price.

Every guitar we sell is hand finished, this is especially important when it comes to Dobros as one of the most common uses for a Dobro is "slide". If you want to play slide on a guitar you will need the action raising higher than for normal use.

Do not fret (for want of a better word!!) as we will always contact you personally just to check about what the guitar will be usd for.

Remember that if you require advice, we are always here to help.

Fender FR-50 Resonator
FR-50
Fender Resonator Guitar

There seems to be no end to the music that sounds great on a resonator guitar: Delta blues, rock, bluegrass, swampy slide. Whatever styles you play acoustic, the resonator will give it a whole new sound and looks great, from the resonator, to the finish, to the custom Fender "F" holes! Available in black or sunburst.

"The FR50 will certainly appeal to the serious player on a budget... and give countless players a legitimate taste of a classic American sound. ... the tone was precisely what you'd want from a wood-bodied resonator instrument... it plays wonderfully, straight out of the box."

- Guitar One, October 2000
