This Fender Custom Shop Limited Edition beauty has been given the full-on Relic treatment to show years of natural wear and tearnicks, scratches, worn finish, rusty nickel/chrome hardware, distressed aluminum pickguard and aged plastic parts. The premium ash body has a nitrocellulose lacquer finish, and the 10/56 boat-shaped maple neck has a 7.25-radius maple fingerboard with 21 vintage-style frets. All that, plus three Fender Custom Shop Fat '50s single-coil Stratocaster pickups, an American Vintage synchronized tremolo and Fender/Gotoh® vintage-style tuning machines.

This Master-built guitar features a two-piece select alder body with a Vintage White finish that has been given the Closet Classic treatmentbuilt as if bought new in its respective model year, played maybe a few times a year and then carefully put away. It has a few small dings, a mildly checked finish, lightly oxidized hardware and aged plastic parts. The one-piece maple neck has a reverse late 60s-style large headstock with the word Proto stamped on the back and 70s F tuning machines.
Must-have features include a matching belly-cut contour on the front of the body, a 70s-style cast bridge with cast saddles, three Custom 69 grey bobbin single-coil pickups, a late 70s-style thin black-and-gold serialized logo decal and early 80s-style F-stamped neck plate with black plastic gasket.
