Left Handed Custom GS-2 Single Cut in Red for Kevin Cogan (E.T.A. September)
The model I have come up with is as follows... (hope you like it!)

Thick single cutaway (LP Style), solid Spruce body (Lighter - your wife will love it and Mr Smith who makes the guitars is a huge fan of the spruce body), capped with a decorative Maple veneer with edge bound look.

I will talk to Mr Smith who will be building your guitar to ensure the maple top is nicely figured - not plain.

Ebony fretboard for a rich dark look - very classy and in line with the LP theme.

Two GSG coil tapped humbuckers (which offer far greater tonal flexibility than a Gibson)

Satin finish to back and neck, gloss to front (Red).

Adjustable bridge (I believe this is important so you/we can adjust intonation for perfect tuning)

Twin tone and volume controls and selector switch.

Chrome Hardware including chrome pickup covers and chrome control knobs (this will look lovely)

To put this in more general terms...

The guitar will be an LP design in a rich red finish with a lovely figured maple top. The hardware will be all chrome which will look great against the red. Also, the darker look of the ebony fretboard will look striking against the red finish too.
