In store - What can I expect?

Guitars.co.uk is one of the most successful online guitar stores in the UK, following 11 years of quality service promoted via this medium. However, it is so important to remember that despite our strong online sales - at the heart is a quality local specialist store to Leamington Spa.

I am extremely proud of these "roots" and remind all online customers that whilst buying online is generally cheaper than buying in store - this is primarily to subsidise you for all that is lacking in the online experience. When buying in store you can try the product, compare with other recommendations, chat with our specialists, discuss your setup requirements and if you have problems in the future you can deal with us face to face with your issues.

In Store Vs Online Pricing

When buying online you will find our pricing to be at the cutting edge - in line with even the most aggressively priced "box shifters" (as we lovingly call them) which reflects the inconveniences of buying online. When you choose the recommended experience of buying in store you do so in the knowledge that buying online is subsidised BECAUSE it cannot compete with the experience of buying in store.. It is however important to clarify in you own mind which experience suits you best & we will offer you the best of either World - guaranteed.

What stock is on display?

Some people arrive (unannounced) and wonder why not every guitar we display in the catalogue is readily available to pull off the shelf. My in store displays are deliberately managed to illustrate the most highly recommended models. I put a lot of effort is put into making sure that we maintain my original ethic of the "local specialist" IE we do not sell guitars for guitars sake. If you want to order a guitar online which we do not recommend then so be it (and you will get it at a great price!) - however you will not find it hanging on our walls - this is dedicated to only my top recommendations. I could also give you examples of "popular" online sellers which we carry in our off site storage but do not display in store. For example one particularly famous electro acoustic model comes to mind which is geometrically flawed (the supplier has admited this) but continues to sell well online (much to our dismay!). We won't recommend it in store but have to stock it due to demand (and have the pain of setting it up and rejecting high numbers in the process!!).

We may lack the rather shallow glitz and glam which helps move product in the modern superstore (The 5 story building is of Regency style and was an Antique store for 20 years prior to me moving in. However, it is certainly memorable!) What you do get is REAL advice - advice for which we are reputed throughout the UK, the highest quality selection of instruments per price point and possibly the most important factor - instruments which play beyond your wildest dreams (thanks to thepremier service). No other store beats us when it comes to the genuine desire to offer our customers the very best service. As for the building? Well it certainly makes a great talking point. John Lennon has also been to our store (yes - THE John Lennon) as he was a life long friend of my landlords. Of course at that time it wasn't a business but he has trodden our floor boards!
