The "T5" is Taylor Guitars' new thinline guitar with a custom 5-way switch for selecting five pure analogue Taylor tones -- from warm and woody acoustic sounds to full-on electric girth for lead and rhythm playing.
Taylor 300 Series Solid African mahogany backs and sides and gloss-finished Sitka spruce tops provide a clear, balanced tone, while wood fiber binding, pearl fretboard inlays, and chrome Taylor tuners streamline the look. The Expression System, now standard on all CE models, makes the 300 Series a great introduction to premium-quality, American-made, solid wood guitars.
Taylor 400 Series The 400 Series boasts backs and sides of solid ovangkol, an African tonewood with olive-brown coloration, intensely varied grain, and rosewood-like tone. Features include a solid, gloss-finished Sitka spruce top, white fiber binding, an ebony fretboard inlaid with pearl dots, and the Expression System, now standard on all CE models.
Taylor 500 Series In the 500 Series, elegance meets clean, dynamic response. Rosewood borders the solid Tropical American mahogany body, Hawaiian koa is hand-inlaid into the rosette. Engelmann or Sitka spruce tops produce a warm, mature tone. We substitute a Western Red cedar top on the 514ce to make it an even more responsive fingerstyle powerhouse.
Taylor 600 Series Controlled overtones and balanced response make the 600 Series ideal for recording and live performance. Colorful finishes, including a striking new cherry/black sunburst, add drama to maple’s alluring natural figure. Add the Expression System on CE models and you have powerful guitars with stunning stage presence.
Taylor 700 Series In the Taylor 700 Series, backs and sides of solid Indian rosewood find their perfect complement in rosewood binding, Hawaiian koa rosette, small pearl dots, and gold Taylor tuners. Taylor 800 Series The 800 Series traces its roots to Bob Taylor’s first guitars and reflects many of his most enduring ideas. The new 800s feature quartersawn Indian rosewood backs and sides, premium-grade Sitka spruce tops, and a new pearl inlay design. A shimmering abalone rosette complements the upgraded white binding with black purfling.
