Godin Solidac Twin Voice Leaftop Electric/Acoustic Guitar
Solidac - Two-Voice The Solidac is the latest Godin model to offer the two-voice concept. It combines the sound of magnetic pickups (electric guitar) with a bridge transducer system for acoustic sounds. This guitar offers players the versatility of a humbucker-single-humbucker pickup configuration along with a transducer-equipped tremolo bridge. All of this sonic power comes in an instrument that sports the same ultra comfortable Mahogany neck found on the LGX with a Silver Leaf Maple body. Individual outputs are provided for the magnetics and the bridge, with the bridge output doubling as a mix out for both signals when used alone. There is an internal preamp voiced to provide excellent acoustic sound when used with any full range system and it produces very good acoustic tone even when plugged into a regular guitar amp. The Solidac represents an opportunity for players on a tighter budget to consider a two-voice concept guitar that retains all of the hand-finished quality that is a standard feature in every Godin instrument.

Godin A6 Electro Acoustic
The A6 is an acoustic guitar for electric guitar players. The ultra-comfortable neck from the LGX is married to a two-chamber silverleaf maple body with a book-matched solid cedar top. Players who spend most of their time with electric guitars in their hands will find the A6 requires little if any adjustment to playing style. As in any acoustic guitar, top vibration is critical to tone, which is why the A6 top is cut from only the best grade of cedar. The L.R. BaggsTM under-saddle transducer is supported by a custom preamp that features slider controls for volume, plus high, mid and low EQ

Godin MultiAc Duet Steel Electro Acoustic Guitar

The innovations at work in the nylon string Multiacs are available in the steel string models as well. Outwardly the Steel and Nylon models look much the same. Inside, it's a much different story. The top of the Steel string Multiac incorporates a modern variation on the classic X-brace. The slim necks and shallow bodies of these guitars make them exceptionally comfortable to play. The two-chamber body design resists feedback and the custom voiced preamps make for great sound in performance with minimal effort.

The Duet
New for this year, the Multiac Duets are equipped with a new dual source system comprised of the L.R. BaggsTM I-Beam transducer, blended with an under-saddle transducer. The I-Beam is a directionally sensitive body pickup, which is attached to the inside of the guitar top. The I-Beam produces superior dynamic response and frequency range. The I-Beam signal is routed through a specially designed preamp where it is mixed with the signal from the under-saddle transducer. The Multiac I-Beam Duet equipped instruments include a ¼" output along with a balanced XLR output that is capable of retrieving phantom power for the guitar preamp. There are now three I-Beam Duet-equipped instruments in the Multiac family including the original Multiac Duet Nylon, the Multiac Steel String Duet and the new Multiac Grand Concert Duett.

Godin MultiAc Duet Nylon Electro Acoustic Guitar
Godin MultiAc Duet Nylon
For players not interested in synth access Godin designed the Multiac Duet. The Multiac Duet is an 'Acoustic Guitar System'. Plugged in the Multiac Duet produces the sort of fidelity that you normally associate with a high end condenser mic on a full body acoustic guitar but delivers this level of performance in a slim body instrument that easily surpasses most players expectations of how comfortable an acoustic guitar can be. The electronic side of the system consists of a customized L.R. Baggs Duet System. This is a truly brilliant marriage of microphone, ribbon transducer and Baggs' most sophisticated on-board preamp yet.

The Multiac and Multiac Duet feature bodies carved from a block of mahogany. Inside there are two acoustic chambers, the larger chamber (centered below the bridge) contains the main acoustic resonance, a narrow channel connects this one to the smaller chamber (below the controls / sound hole) from which the air escapes. The two-chamber system allows maximum acoustic resonance while at the same time inhibiting feedback. A true acoustic guitar, the Multiac top is constructed of solid book-matched spruce and will improve with playing.

Duet Controls
Volume

Low EQ - (+ or -12dB @ 85Hz)

Mid EQ - (+ or -12dB @ 660Hz)

In the steel string version a slight cut with this control often produces a more natural sound, in the the nylon Multiac a slight boost of the midrange is often desirable.

High EQ - (+ or - 12dB @ 10kHz)

Presence Control - ( + or - 6dB @ 5kHz) Boosting here adds life to a dull sounding speaker, or cut slightly to remove a glaring P.A. horn.

Notch Control - This one actually involves two control knobs one for frequency selection and the other to boost or cut the selected frequency. This is primarily used for feedback reduction and can be used to enhance low end EQ as well.

Mix Control - Allows you to blend the amount of mic and pickup signal in the final output.

Colors: Natural High-Gloss, Natural Semi-Gloss
