Another ground-breaking instrument, this time combining electric guitar sounds, acoustic guitar sounds, and fast guitar synth tracking in a tremolo equipped guitar. Standard electric guitar output comes from a pair of Seymour Duncan humbucking pickups - the neck position pickup is a Jazz II TM and the bridge pickup was designed by Seymour himself specifically for Godin. Acoustic guitar sounds and synth access* are provided by custom L.R. Baggs transducers located in the tremolo bridge. The one-piece Mahogany neck is capped with an Ebony fingerboard and is precisely fit into an extra deep pocket in the Maple body to ensure maximum energy transfer. The LGXT body is made from Light Maple (back) with a Hard Maple layer on top.
If the LGX is 'two guitars in one' then the LGX-SA is three guitars in one or depending on your choice of synth two guitars, ten basses, sixteen string sections, several saxes, trumpets, flutes, harmonicas... sorry. The LGX-SA takes all of the ingredients found in the LGX and adds an Ebony fingerboard and direct synth access. Between the acoustic and electric guitar outputs the LGX-SA has a built in 13-pin connector. The 13-pin connector provides easy connection to the best guitar synths, and guitar synth interfaces, including; the Roland GR-30, the Yamaha G-50 and the Axon interface from Blue Chip. In addition to the phenomenal versatility found in the LGX, the SA offers incredibly fast synth tracking. Perhaps best of all the SA is straightforward and easy to use so you can focus on music making, rather than owner's manual interpretation issues. Left-Handed version available with Seymour Duncan's only (colors: Amber or Mahogany).
