After a long wait, I finally have my Blackstar HT-5 5W Valve combo. I have to say I am not disappointed. Even though it is only 5W it is plenty loud enough!!! I have the volume at about 8 oclock (it goes from 7 o'clock to 5 o'clock) and its loud enough for practicing. The clean channel is just that and the celestion speaker rings sweet. But its the overdrive channel that impresses the most. you can get from a British style crunch to a screaming lead no problem - all at levels that the neighbours can live with. You have a bass, mid, treble EQ and also an ISF function (Infinite Shape Feature) basically its meant to take you from British Crunch to American Metal and anything in between - I'm still playing with that!!
Overall, excellent little amp, if your in the market for a new practice amp, try one out.
