Hi Guys,

I'm going to have a look at a friends bass tomorrow that is apparently a Cort "violin" does anyone know anything about them? I've looked on the web but not found anything on them, anyone got one?

I think the model number is Cort EFVB1, Its apparently all black and looks similar to the Hofner ones used in the 60's

Mikey

Evening Mikey

I'm afraid I don't know anything about this particular bass and you're right, neither the UK nor USA Cort web sites show anything like a "Violin" bass. I presume you mean something like the old Hohner violin base that Paul McCartney plays?

It might be an old model they no longer make, but I suggest you send a private email to Richard - if anyone knows he will, he's specialised on Corts for a number of years.

Cheers and Happy New Year for later.

I have owned one from brand new since 1998, which is when they were in the shops. I can date that specifically by the band I was in at teh time. Ihey came in antique (see below) and black finishes.

I wish I had bought a black one too, they looked really cool.
