"Arrested for driving while blind in 1998."
Band members (from left to right): Michael Nagorsnik, bass and vocals Hans-Jürgen Bardenhagen, guitar and vocals Thomas Harms, drums
BLUEZZ BASTARDZZ - "That little ol´ ZZ Top cover band from Hamburg..."
Since 1980 this blues rock trio from Hamburg has mainly covered the songs of ZZ Top, but also Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, Cream, Bryan Adams, Queen, The Police and other German blues rock acts, so that's longer than the originals do them most of time... ;-)
A complete repertoire list is available at the web radio LastFM with almost all original tracks and on the Bluezz Bastardzz homepage as a text file. There you can also find a description of the MP3 playlist with older demo recordings. Just click on the link, and your usual audio player (Winamp, WMP, iTunes, RealPlayer etc.) should start automatically.
Bluezz Bastardzz in the new millennium: Clicking the UK banner on the homepage leads to the English site summary, but there are new Bluezz Bastardzz sites on Myspace, YouTube, LastFM and Facebook as well where you can find 15 live videos, new and remixed demo songs, band pictures, blogs, and the next gigs.
Here's an example from our gig at the barn in Dänschendorf on the isle of Fehmarn - "Thunderbird" from ZZ Top. We started the Christmas party of the Fehmarn Festival Group on Nov 24th, 2007 with this one, and their president JJ announced us. They organize the free open air Jimi Hendrix Revival festival on Fehmarn each year.

"Bodog Battle of the Bands 2007 at the Logo in Hamburg"
Band members: Nils Krüger, guitar and vocals Markus Giza, bass and vocals Hans-Jürgen Bardenhagen, guitar and vocals Torsten Spörck, drums
Indigo Rocks - "Down home rockin' blues. Tasty as strudel."
Indigo Rocks was founded by Nils Krüger in 2004 as a blues rock trio. Nils had previously been guitarist in several blues bands from Hamburg - including Dixie Specials, Pearly Gates, Baltimore Blues Band, Rhubarb and Big Dirt. With Markus Portworsnick on bass and Torsten Spörck on drums, Nils could rely on a tight rhythm section, because both men had already been grooving together for three years in a cover band called Lucky Punch. Torsten also helps out Rockstedt who consist of NDR employees (Norddeutscher Rundfunk, a TV and radio station in Northern Germany) and need a drummer now and then. In the beginning he played with Rocksoff for ten years and Lie & Cheat for another two years.
In November 2006, the line-up was completed by Hans-Jürgen Bardenhagen, guitar player and singer since 1980 with the Bluezz Bastardzz, "that little ol' ZZ Top cover band from Hamburg..." Bassist Markus Portworsnik moved to the Eifel region in south-west Germany in June 2007, and his replacement Markus Giza joined the Indigo Rocks line-up for their new schedule of gigs and recordings. He formerly played with the Second Hand Band from Ahrensburg and with Cathroon Hunter, Straitmark and Kiosk, his hardrock and cover bands from the early '80s.
Their musical direction still embraces Texas blues rock style like Stevie Ray Vaughan and Los Lobos, but also explores the possibilities of twin guitars and rock, funk and swing influences. They are continually adding more of their own songs to their repertoire. Live videos, demo recordings, blogs, band pictures and current gig dates are available on Myspace, and since 2008 there is a homepage in German as well.

OK, it seems we cannot edit older postings, so I have to add some changes in a new reply.
The Bluezz Bastardzz homepage had to move from Freenet to Kilu, so all links in the above posting referring to our homepage should rather start with http://bluezzbastardzz.kilu.de/.
Furthermore the embedded pictures do not work any longer, that's why you see a nonsense description with non-existing band members on the top now.

Some new videos of the Bluezz Bastardzz - "That lil' ol' ZZ Top cover band from Hamburg..." taken at Hof Südensee in Sörup (northern Germany) by the local TV station Offener Kanal Flensburg on Sep 16th, 2011: "My Head's In Mississippi" and "Fool For Your Stockings" by ZZ Top and "Walking On The Moon" by The Police. All the clips are available in the video sections of our Myspace and Facebook band profiles.
One difference to our older videos is my Tokai LS120 with Gibson P-94 single coils with its first appearance in a Bluezz Bastardzz video instead of the Tokai LS60 with Gibson Shaw PAFs which was used in our older clips. And you can hear my Roland RE-501 Chorus Echo here as well. The amp is my usual live rig with the Mesa Boogie Mark IIb top and self-built EVM-12L Thiele cab. We had to tune the video sound a bit, because they used the dry PA mixer sound for it where the vocals were much too loud compared to the rest. The visual effects were added by us afterwards, too.
