no complaints at all

Hi, thanks for the offer but transport is a bit difficult at the moment, I'm in Ilkley

I see the Tapco 60 is discontinued now but there are still a few people stocking them.

Haven't decided still but got a new question. Just bought an Akai E2 Headrush - delay/looping pedal. I want to combine two inputs (guitar and mic) into the pedal which then connects to the amp from the pedal. Could I do it with one of these small mixers. I can't see why not? ta.

You could, but remember that your output from the mixer will be in stereo so you will have to pan hard left or right and use that output on the mixer into the Headrush.

Or you could male a stereo-to-mono combiner.

This is just a couple of resistors, say 10 kilohms each, connected in series. Feed one resistor from the left channel of the mixer output, one from the right channel, and take the mono feed from their mid-point:

LEFT ----- 10k ----- MONO ----- 10k ----- RIGHT

If you get small resistors (e.g. 0.25W) this will fit into a mono jack plug.

Thanks guys. I'm wondering if I can also make some sort of cheap passive device to combine guitar and mic into one to connect to the input of the pedal using a similar resistor set-up. I guess there might be some sort of impedance matching issue though. The idea being just to put me on until I get a mixer.

It won't work, because of impedance and level differences. You need an active mixer.

Thanks to everyone for your help. I'm now the proud owner of a Tapco Blend 6 - just the ticket!

The Behringer 802 is pretty reasonable but not as robust as the Mackie ones they were ripping off. Tapco is a sub division of Mackie and their stuff is good and budget. Have a look on Ebay and you may find something with a USB interface built in which would take some of the pain out of it.
