Big Problems with Feedback

Hello I really hope you can help me; I own a behringer X-VAmp Model LX1-X guitar effects pedal. I run it through a fender frontman 212r and when I play it through the guitar input socket there is no feedback but a loud buzzin sound in the background of my amp with any distorted effect, I cannot play live with this because it means after every song I have to turn the guitar pickups off.
If you know the frontman amp you have two inputs for effects pedals named 'pre-out' and 'power in.' I can plug my effects pedal into these and this reduces the buzzing background but when on any distortion level on any volume, feedback becomes huge and uncontrollable. It is deafening and simply is uncontrollable and will last forever until you turn the guitar down. It's not my wires because I have tried it with other wires and with all my guitars it is the same, so it must be the pedal. I have also tryed it on other amps and this is the case as well. Any responses would be great to solve the problem. Thanks Andy

The effects send and return (In and out) are generally to use with delays or reverbs and not the gain type of pedal / effects.
Is there a difference if using the clean or driven sound of the amp. The effects unit should not cause an extreme buzzing. Following description from melmusic...
http://www.melmusic.com.au/shop/index.php?productID=10041
The X V-AMP is a floor-based unit not only featuring the best V-AMP models of celebrated guitar amplifiers and speakers, but also providing simulations of the most desirable guitar effects combined with a multi-mode expression pedal. A special Acoustic Simulation and an Amp Bypass function are also included. The expression pedal is freely assignable for real-time control of effects or Wah/Volume control.
The 24-bit high-resolution stereo multi-effects processor includes not only one, but 4 models of first-class stomp box simulations of each Chorus, Flanger, Phaser, Tremolo, Rotary Speaker (Leslie) and Pitch Bend effects and many more. Amp and Cabinet Simulation, Compressor, Noise Gate, EQ, Modulation effects, Delay and Reverb can be used simultaneously in any combination. ------------------ Are your amp and effects unit under warrenty? If so go back to the shop with both and let the people there take a look.

Ok thanks guys. I bought the effects pedal from an online shop and cannot return it because it's past 30 days old however Im gonna take it to my local music shop to see what they say. I may just have t play it through the normal input for the guitar and have the buzzing in the background without the huge feedback but unfortunately that means turning my guitar volume of after every song Thanks for your quick replies!

It happens on any amp I play, I have a line 6 30 watt and a fender frontman 100 watt 212R, as well as our school amp which is a 100 watt amp (but i cant remember the brand). To add to this it happens on all my guitars including s strat and vintage sg. Therefore Ive concluded its got to be the pedal, if I was to change the pedal is there any options you would recommend for under £100?

Depending what you want. E,g do you need an expresion pedal? There are some reasonable effects processors out there for around £100 but your better of trying out as many as you can in you local shops first.
Having already gone down the online market and getting what you've got prudence suggests try before you buy next time around.
You've now landed in the buy cheap, buy twice area. So set your demands higher in view of quality and save yourself from going round in circles.
