Aquired a JTM-30 over the weekend, which is stonking - everything i wanted from it. however this is the first amp i've owned with the ability to output to an extension cab - so just wondering what the advantages of doing so are - will it make it louder? or just serve to make it "Fuller" coming from more speakers? Thanks

- Nick

Fuller is spot on- it won't make the amp push out any extra dB, but you'd be physically moving more air.

Yes fuller is option 1 but also you can use various speakers to give you different tones.
I bought a cab to use with my Marshall DSL 401 combo and it sounded awful but I changed the speaker and wow! A 40watter just fills the room.

If you playing something like hard rock/ metal, get an extension cab, slap in some vintage 30s (if not already loaded) and watch you windows blow out :-)
Some people even like to mix speakers!
Vintage 30s in one side with greenbacks in the other!
Essentially the extension cab option gives you options....the use of speakers often overlooked when creating your dream sound!
