I've just checked out the track listing on the Chess Chartbusters albums and it's the same great stuff. I came to it, like a lot of people, by checking out the authors of all those songs the Stones, Cream and others were covering. Who the heck is this Dixon bloke? Morganfield? It was like going back to the source and finding the mother lode. There are some great albums on this thread; I love B.B. King at the Regal and the Bluesbreakers with Eric, and Miles Davis takes me to places no other musician does but when the chips are down it's the purity and simplicity of the Chess stuff that does it for me.
