Sorry got here a bit late but congrats on the choice, a great little valve jobby great for home use!.
Slightly off subject, you mention the main driver for getting a new amp was an annoying humming? do you have another mains AC powered device connected to the amp such as an effects processor? if so then such noise may be due to interference and/or a "ground loop"...a good tip for all, when using such a setup try and use good quality cables, use balanced cables where your gear supports its and if required use a device which breaks ground loops....an EbTech HE2 hum eliminator is a great purchase.

Hi mate,

thanks for the info, unfortunately it doesnt have anything attached except the guitar. it was in a shed outside for about 6 months at one stage, when i took it out it sounded the way it does now. not sure if it had any water damage or something
