Hi all,

First post on here \:P

I've owned an Epiphone EJ-200 for a number of years now, I was thinking about changing the Saddle, Nut and pins from the plastic one to another material such as Tusq. Would this be worth doing and would it improve the sound? and how much does it cost for such an upgrade usually.

Many Thanks

John

I have little experience of acoustic guitar mods, but I've often read that these are worth upgrading to Tusq or Bone (the saddle especially).

It wouldn't be too expensive to do, and it's completely reversible if you keep the old parts (saddle and pins at least), so I say give it a go. And I'd be very interested to see how you find things change!
