Hey, i was wondering if its possible to put an amp head in a loop, say if i had a Bigshot loop pedal going to a clean amp, is it possible to have another guitar head in the loop of the pedal so that, when pressed that sound comes out of the clean amp? Kinda strange question but im just trying to figure out different ways of setting up my rig to find the best possible sound, Thanks \:\)

A valve amp must always be connected to a speaker cabinet or an equivalent load, so you'd still need to have the head in the loop connected to a cab.

You'd also need an output from the amp that was at the same level as the output from an effects pedal (ie and effects loop "send"). Connect the speaker output of one amp to the input of another and you'll probably blow up both amps in fairly short order.

Simpler to have two amps and an A/B switcher if you're planning to use one for dirty sounds and one for clean.

Instead of starting a dozen different threads, why don't you have a think about exactly what it is you want to achieve in terms of your guitar sounds and ask a broader question?

From what you have said i too think a A/B switch would be your best bet! The only issue i can think of is having the two heads going to teh amp. I've never realy used the head - cab mix so I don't know about inputs to cabs. I suggest having a look at a cab that is compatible with the heads that you like!
