It's probably been asked before but searching hasn't found much so I'm gonna ask. Which active monitors do you recommend between £100 and £150 a pair. I'm just starting out with some basic recording kit and don't expect to go any further than hobby level. I've checked around various websites and keep going round in circles. Someone on here recommended Fostex PM04 which are about £140 and they are on my list. Behringer 2031 (I think) are similar price but heard a few people say they aren't very reliable. Just missed a secondhand pair of Rokit 5s for £100 but new ones are out of my budget at £250 pair. Cheers

I have the Fostex PM04s and they are pretty good.

Thanks, I've ordered some now. Was warned off Behringer which I'd also considered. Just waiting for the postman now.

Hi Smojo,

I'd be interested to hear what you think of them as I'll soon be hunting a some down for hobby use.

Cheers
