Interesting... I was looking at his site this morning and toying with the idea of a Box of Rock clone- just put my Danelectro FAB Distortion back on my board and I'm quite enjoying having that thick, Marshall-y sound option as well as my Tubescreamer-type overdrive.
Is the "Wee Fuzz" a clone of something, or an original design?

Oh- there was thread on Harmonycentral about this guy- people were wondering whether the kit comes with a PCB or a tag-board?

I think the issue is that PCBs make life much easier for you when putting all the parts in place and are difficult and time consuming to design and make, whereas there's no reason why you couldn't buy your own piece of tagboard and make the kit yourself.
The argument seems to be that you could, if you were reasonably knowledgeable about electronics (which is a big "if"...), build those kits on tagboard for a fraction of what the guy is charging, and that paying for a good quality PCB is at least part of what you expect to get when you pay all that money for a kit.
I disagree that the kits would cost more with a PCB- most of their kits are £50-£60, which is comparable with BYOC's kits through their UK distributor, and they're all PCB based. There's a German company that sells a Box of Rock clone for around £30 with a PCB included...
