Bit of a non-guitar moment:

Widely hailed as the best DJ mix album ever made, if that doesn't sound like damning it with faint praise...
I remember hearing this way back as an impressionable early-teenager, and it blew me away. I love this sort of random cut 'n' paste DJ stuff- beats the hell out of most dance music mixes.

I like Chris LeDoux's version of Springsteen's "Tougher than the rest". I love the guitar riff. Not my favourite country artist by any stretch of the imagination but I love the track.
