^ I saw that too. I loved Bill Bruford's explanation of how he left Yes: how they all bargained with each other to get their little instrumental bits on to the album in return for allowing each others and somehow came up with a really good album. He knew they'd never manage it again.

..so he joined KC and had Robert Fripp tell him what to do for the rest of the seventies

Recently received a Jamie Thyer (Ex Marshall amps demonstrator, currently runs The Worried Men) Home recorded CD called "Antiques and Curious".

As he claimed, it's mostly "doodles" and short experiments. Not available unless from him on his mailing list.

As for a proper CD album. I dug out an old Bruce Springsteen anthology. Also a old Dave Hole CD.

Pearl Jam on shuffle for my drive to work this morning. 172 PJ tracks on my iPod and I got through 10 of them.

Got this on now:

They don't make pop music like this any more. Probably because the americans got hold of it ten years late and foisted it back on us as Motley Crue.

Went for an MRI scan yesterday which is 40 minutes of loud noise. At my hospital though, you can bring in the CD of your choice so I had this on the go at high volume:

^ nothing serious I hope...

I didn't know MRI machines were noisy. But then, in my job I just look at the pictures in relative ignorance though

(Just a 6-monthly check-up, but cheers)

They are really loud and listening to music passes the time. I don't usually get to see the images; I'm just glad when they say everything's fine!

Broke up for the hols today so this blasted out in the car on the way home:
