I have been playing with my Behringer X V-Amp and tried the "El Raton" setting for the first time, which is supposed to be an emulation of the Proco Rat pedal. I'm sure it sounds nothing like the real thing but anyway, I liked it so I looked on the web for a list of famous recordings featuring the Rat but could only artists who used it. Does anybody know of any specific songs that feature that pedal? Oddly enough, I looked at YouTube but was unimpressed with the demos I found.

A lot of Bends and OK Computer Radiohead stuff came via a Rat.
Specifically, Thom Yorke's parts. The other two guitarists used other dirt pedals. He's generally the rhythm guitarist, so many of the chordal parts will be him. "OK Computer" is helpfully mixed pretty much as it would sound from inside Thom Yorke's head at a Radiohead gig- Jonny Greenwood's guitar and keyboard parts on the left, Ed O'Brien's on the right, bass, drums and Thom's guitar and keys pretty much centre, so you should be able to pick out Thom's parts fairly easily.
Graham Coxon is another well known user, though being a fuzz-crazy indie guy I'm not sure which of his tones are a Rat and which are something else.
Graham's setup for the britpop years was fairly static- Tele, Les Paul and occasionally a Jaguar, a few BOSS modulation and delay pedals and a couple of RATs running to a Marshall "plexi" reissue with a 4x12". The only other dirt pedal he used regularly was a Shin-ei fuzz pedal, which is a world away from the sound of a RAT- thin, buzzy, raspy, with a noticeable upper-octave added- so anything you hear on "Modern Life Is Rubbish", "Parklife" or "The Great Escape" that sounds dirtier than the chunky, gritty rhythm guitar sound is probably a RAT.

Cant tell you what songs but can tell you the pro co rat is just wonderful and I could get really close Robben Ford tones when I was trying to find his sound.
The rat is definitely on my list of must have pedals.

I must confess I'd never heard of Robben Ford but his Wikipedia made me want to find out more so I'll check out his music and tones tonight.
