Seemed a good idea to fund a right horrid bill I've to pay by offloading a few of my guitars...Bit of thought went into it and the selection process was sorted...Custom Strat worth nowt and I like it..Stays..Les Paul...Lovely thing but unsaleable due to personalising it's appearance..Stays...Sitar,electric,can't be anyone daft enough as me to buy that...stays...

Put up 4...Did write a note on this forum so you can see what they are..On Ebay...One is a Fender Telecaster brought out by Fender made in Mexico and is a tribute to Joe Strummer....Question from a potential bidder(my start price is £375) "Did Joe Strummer own the guitar?"

White coats please take me away!!!

Anyone else had any daft questions about items you're selling?

Last time I used Ebay was equally as taxing!

I once sold a Fender Prosonic amp on E-bay, and someone asked me the best question ever - "Do all the buttons work?"
...and there was me, foolishly assuming the Prosonic would only appeal to the more discerning guitarist!

I recently sold a Fairlight CMI sample CD, which was all the photo showed, and some idiot assumed I was selling a complete Fairlight CMI IIx system. At a starting price of 99p. The listing and its title were unequivocally clear.

Another stupid Ebay question: do you ship to Nigeria?

He may have been a keyboard player. That'd be the first question I'd ask. It's a common issue with keyboards, especially E-mu samplers.

Don't have keyboard knowledge myself(know that when having wine this one on the computer doesn't always work correctly)have though enough Ebay experience and I'll wager that Gibbos question was not by a keyboard player.Thought my quizzer was being sarcastic at first as regards wanting to open at £375 but re-reading there wasn't any!
Have just answered another eight questions...Ebay that is...Have suggested to half a dozen that this forum might satisfy their curiosity of guitars rather better than Ebay."Are the action set up and intonation correct?" genuine q this evening regarding my plexi..."The serial number must be wrong as Rickenbacker didn't make them until 2004" was a comment on another, whose provenance is beyond doubt! That one did provoke a reply including some Anglo=Saxon!"Do you have a price in mind to sell now?" brought the response "Indeed.Do you"...Must be an online thing as can't believe that the fellow who runs this site gets that sort of thing as an everyday occurrence in his shop!

Not guitar related, but two of my favourite Ebay moments were:

Motorcycle leathers - would fit height of 5ft 8; fella emails me with "I'm 6ft 4 do you think I'd be able to get into them?"

70-300 Sigma lens for CANON. Fella emails me with "Hi mate will this work on a NIKON D40?"

Best one ever came when selling a Zoom Drum Machine (Can't quite remember this word for word)

"Hi Bro. Does it chill or has it been whupped like the wolf on friday?"
