I'm getting hacked off with my pedalboard. I've got an assortment of patch cables, some self-made (mostly by putting right-angled plugs on shop-bought patch cables that came with straight ones), and some of those cheapo coloured ones, and I keep getting problems with cables failing intermittently. I think it's time to tear the lot out and replace them with some quality ones.
So the question is this: what's the best way to do this without spending an absolute fortune? I've heard lots about George L's cable, but I know it's fairly pricey and I've heard mixed opinions on the reliability of the the solderless connections. Anyone have any experience of the Planet Waves cabling kit?
I'm quite happy to make up my own cables from scratch too, in which case I need recommendations on good quality low-ish cost jackplugs and cable.
And of course, the dead simple option is to buy them off the shelf, although I suspect this is going to be the most expensive way to do it unless I buy another job lot of those nasty coloured leads with the moulded plugs. Ewww.
