Hi peeps, got some real bad crackle on a couple of my pots & volume jump on the main voume control (not good for setting levels).

Got the amp out just not sure where to spray the loob?

Heres a pic (really bad taken on my phone just hope someone has done this before and knows).

http://s750.photobucket.com/albums/xx142/baileyswallk/Amp/?action=view¤t=Pots.jpg

There's two kind of pots's there, both have a hole at 9 o'clock, on the pot on the left the hole goes onto the back facing slightly and on the pot on the right the hole is on the side as there is a bit of circuit board attached to the back of it, I assume this is where I spray into but I read somewhere (can't find it now) that you have to spray it in the bottom in the hole where the solder points come out and that sparaying in the back can stuff it!! Just can't see how I could spray it in to the bottom even if I wanted to?
Also while I'm there should I spray the rest of them or adopt the "if it aint broke don't fix it" saying?

Any help greatly appreciated.

Cheers.

With pots it's normally a case of "spray and pray"!

There's generally a gap in the metal case where the three termination tags emerge. Use a thin tube to spray the lubricant in there. If there are any other holes in the metal case you could try those too. Immediately after spraying, work the knob backwards and forwards to try and clean dirt off the track.

If all else fails, remove the pot and take the metal cover off; it's normally attached by bent lugs.
