Mix isn't quite there, and not sure about the name, but would appreciate comments all the same. Thanks

Cheers Sticky, drums in this tune are loops supplied with Logic . I either use these or loops from a Charlie Morgan sample cd I've had for years. If nothing fits then I'll program the drums around a hi hat loop and add single hits from Charlie single hit samples

Hi Barry Sorry, I got to this one a little late. I've been recuperating of late from some surgery. This is an excellent tune, great percussion, and beautifully recorded, love it. I've added it to my WMP library! Thanks for sharing this one.

I lOVE the arpeggio/delay clean sound, plus the drums work really well. In fact I haven't enough praise for the "backing". Loved it.
However, you have "that" lead sound I truely despise.... Don't get me wrong you do it amazingly well and the technique is faultless. But why make your guitar sound like an over saturated 80s synth?
Horses for courses i guess. Great track tho, excellently executed, constructed and arranged. Mike

^ Some might call it "flutey"
I think it fits the mood of the song though, and I love the percussion tracks and rhythm Guitars too.

Thanks Bob, I thought it fitted the song. I actually wrote this tune a few years ago, and the slow lead lines over the C,E,F section was written for soprano sax. Maybe I was trying to match that sound in my head. Unless you mean my guitar sound generally. I can't imagine 'despising' a guitar sound, I think dislike is as strong as it gets for me.

Yeah sorry Bob. Nothing personal. But I have strong emotional response to sound... The eternal search for beauty and all that.
I actually can't imagine not having a guitar sound you despise. If I didn't, everything would sound bland and mediocre. I need it as a point of reference for the amazing impact of the sounds I love.
Ha ha, I've been down this road before. If you'd prefer not to recieve my comments then please just say...no hard feelings whatsoever. Hope you took note of all the positive stuff I said. Plus what do I know, I'm more of an artist than a guitar player, my "technique" sucks.
All the best, Mike.

Mike, I'll not pretend criticism doesn't jar a tad, but I did ask for it, so should be able to take it. Your comments are welcome, both positive and negative, but your honesty and intensity just threw me a bit. Despise seemed pretty strong. I guess I'm not as passionate as you. I am most definitely not an artist. Just because I don't despise something doesn't mean I can't love something else though. I get pretty wrapped up in recording these tunes. They mean a great deal to me and I've put a lot of time and emotion into them so hopefully it's understandable if my lower lip quivers a bit, but it's definitely helpful, as I've got a lot to learn.
No hard feelings, and no offence taken, or meant Barry
