Incredible place, amazing photos! Nice one, Mike. Going back to that other photographic thread, on the discussion about depth of field, I have to say that the first photo demonstrates this quite superbly.
In Iceland, people are named using patronymics, which creates a “last” name based on the father’s first name and the person’s gender, e.g. Katrín Karlsdóttir (Katrín, Karl’s daughter). Because of this, the Icelandic telephone directory is listed alphabetically by first name.
So maybe not 8 lol, but hey, it's still unique As a matter of interest, patronymics are also commonly used in Jewish (ben) and Arabic (bin or ibn) names, as well as throughout Scandinavia, so not entirely unique. I'm sure there must be others as well.
