I'd honestly pick the Fender if your predonimantly on the clean and lighter driven side of things...everything i've heard from them have been really impressive and responsive A 60 watt amp even solid state should handle most gigs.
But if you needed extra volume it would probably have an extension cab out or you'd mic it up or go direct into the PA something im assuming the msutangs would have as a standard feature...
While the Valvetronix arent bad I wouldnt really find them that good in a live situation as they dont cut through all that well..
plus the cleans on the mustangs are superb and the technology is far more advanced compared to the vox stuff which is probably quite old now and on the level of a pod 2.0 or XT.
Chappers/Andertons did a good amp shootout and I think the mustang beat everything for cleans and lighter drive sounds...
You may find you prefer the valvetronix over the mustang but im sure if you checked a mustang out you'd want nothing else...
