Is there a software control interface or mixer that came with the M-Audio ?
Did you install everything that came with the discs with that?

Yes there is.2 tabs, one for latency, the other for sample rate. For some reason up until now both options were greyed out. I've just checked and they are now operative......what did you do? ;).
As for installing everything that came with the disc, I had to download drivers for win 7 64 bit which went fine, however, the disc contains 'pro tools m-powered essentials' which turns out to be a very chopped down version of PT, 'cos nearly everytime I choose an option/effect, I get 'this is only available in the payed for version'......practically useless in fact!
Anyway,did I install eveything on the disc? There are some things I didn't install, and they were just dj stuff and mp3 makers.Setup.exe installed PT and the config panel.
I havn't had time to check your other suggestions, and it's too late ATM. I'm out all day tomorrow, but will be back at my pc Sat eve, so will apply myself then all being well.

I'd have a good rout around in the config panel then,I know when I learned my way around in FL it did my head in at the start,but you're only ever a click or two away from where you want to be in my experience with this stuff
