Interesting sticky mentioned EHX pedals.
I've had unwanted noise for ages and assumed my PSU was not up to much.
Disconnected my EHX pedal and problem solved!
Trouble is the EHX doesn't take a battery and I can not be bothered with more than one PSU.
Good to discover though.

does this mean that a daisy chain for multiple pedals is a bad idea? I wasn't sure on the idea and decided against it. only because I managed to pick up a separate 9v adapter for each pedal and a multi plug socket for not much money.
