I hesitate to bring this up, but there have been reported issues with the Fender Mustang 3 - I myself got one then had to take it back to the shop last year. A shame, because otherwise it really was the best modelling amp I'd ever heard, with fab and versatile range of sounds, and excellent built in effects. If you have the issue, it is most clearly heard on clean sounds: fizz issue on mustang 3

I would quickly add that as far as I can tell this has only been verified on the m3, and not the other models, and the m3 may well have been sorted out by now too. Otherwise really brilliant amps IMO.

I to looked at getting a fender amp. Read far to many probs with them. Not only FM amps but across the range.

On all amps there will issues, a forum will bring them forward, this leaves folks like us to pick what we may think is best to short list.

The M1 & M2 had a slight issue that was fixed with a firmware update.

The M3 still had it last I checked, but that may have been fixed now too.

Personally I wouldn't recommend the bigger ones anyway- once you're spending that much there are loads of other options. It's the M1&2 that are the real bang-for-buck winners

Those two comments seem rather contradictory. Don't rush a wrong decision.

Yes... they do, but I just don't see myself having need for the Boogie for a very long time (possibly ever if I don't find a new band). So it just seems daft having it sitting here gathering dust or being hamstrung by playing at such low volumes. I would rather someone was getting enjoyment out of it.

Besides... I have always had hankerings for a Bluesbreaker... the amp that got away as it were ;-)
