Looks great TG, can't wait to see how the contouring alters things. can I ask what tools you use to make a body like this?

Ha ha, i know what you mean...it's massive! Really light weight, the wood is idigbo (Korina), 3 pieces we glued (from FREE offcuts). The massive pot cavity helps too, plus with the amount of contouring I intend to do, should cut it down even more. Really resonant sound too, Korina is used instead of mahogany nowadays (plus it's the only hardwood that floats...that's how light it is:)). Megi, tools have been a handheld jigsaw and a £39 router (had to give the old one back) both from B&Q, a workmate and two clamps... The only cheat was the pup routing, we used a flat bed router (with a guide on the bottom)because I didn't have a router bit short enough to cut them. Loads of work left to do, will look very different I think. This is for a gothy inspired design for a friend, there is also a star wars reference (TIE fighters..ha ha Death Star). I'll post more when I finish. Cheers for the comments.

Wow - there's a bass that seriously makes a statement!
Looks good - and I notice your cat managed to find it's way into the picture - cats do seem to have a knack for doing that.

Here are a couple more pics. Taken a lot off, it's very curvy...pics don't show it that well. Will post more soon. I'm liking it more now. [img] [/img]
