Really good. We were in the "crappy" room, so the PA was awful the other night, but it's very resistant to feedback, and (with the to-be-expected EQ tweaking) sounds fantastic- very much like the 214 unplugged tbh.

Obviously I'll learn to get the best from it with time, and it'll be different in a full-live situation than a studio, but I'm very happy with it so far.

Excellent.
Feedback issues and thin sound were my concerns.
What was the fitting like and where is the EQ?
I think I really want one now \:\)

Fitting took no time. The only hard bit was the strap-jack, because I didn't have an appropriate step drill bit! I combination of a tapered hand-reamer and a round file had it sorted in 20 minutes or so.

After that is was just screwing the jack into place, plugging it into the pickup and fixing the pickup in place. The whole thing took half an hour or so, would've been 15 minutes with the right tool!
