Well i gave it a go as instructed and it appears to have worked! 1/8th of a turn as you said clockwise and its now only my poor playing that makes unsavoury noises not the guitar!

How does that guitar feel and play now?
If you're still hankering after another guitar I'd suggest you start frequenting music shops in your spare time so you can get the feel and sound of a few different instruments before you splash out again, even if you only have a few chords you should still know what suits you best eh....

It feels great now am glad i did it, kind of the first steps to looking after and setting up properly. I have always liked the action on it (sounding like i know what i am on about there! lol) and now the annoying buzzes are gone then all is good.
I have to admit its not the only guitar i have although i have only been playing since novemeber i have already (with a combination of a bit of overtime and some "dont know what to buy you for xmas money) already got my second! its an Ibanez grg270b i am sure both Guitars that i have are by far not the best but for me in the right now they are spot on. i like them both and in my limited opinion they both play really well.... its just the other part of the deal the player that lets the side down! hehe
