Hi, I have a boss rc-20xl looper which I normally use through the effects loop of my blackstar amp with great results. Problem is I have just recently got a vox vt20+ which has effectively 8 channels ( patches ) but no effects loop. If I play guitar/looper/vt then as soon as I change channel then the sound already recorded on looper changes to the current amp sound.. I understand why it does this but need your help with my following idea.. The vt has an headphone socket out and an aux in. If I took the headphone out to the in on my looper, then the out on the looper to the aux in do you think I,d be ok..I,m reluctant to try in case I damage anything. Cheers.. ps, I understand that I would have to disconnect the lead that cuts the speaker off when headphone socket is used.

Hey, only just seen this..

The simple answer is "maybe".

It would work if you can get the VT to allow both speaker and headphone out at the same time , but that may be a circuit-board mod rather than anything nice and easy like snipping a single wire.

This also relies on the looper being able to handle line level audio- it should be able to

I have a similar problem.
My Dual terror doesn't have an effects loop and if I change the amp channel, loops/delay and reverb all sound totally different.
Is there not a way of building in an effects loop? I don't even have a headphones option to play with tho.
Maybe I'll have to live with it, no big deal...I mostly use the amp sounds with no effects anyway.

@Tingyghost

I've seen modded Terrors with Fx loops do it can definitely be done. I'm no expert on amps tho so I don't know how much work it would be to add one

Oh really!
Hmmmm.
Not very confident with the electronics (see the BYOC wah wah thread :)). Not soething i'd attenmpt (yet).
It's such a new amp (2009?) that it feels wrong to start hacking into it.
I know a great tech though...
Have to have a think about it.

It's really the loss of a built in reverb that has prompted me to even think about it.
Cheers.

I'm sure any decent Tech could do the job. No idea how much it'd cost tho!

It's that same lack of reverb that's held me back from SO many amps.

EDIT: This guy does it in California for $135, so I'd guess around £120 would be the ballpark
